The best niches are typically based around solving somebody's problem. Often the "problem" niches are referred to as "desperate buyer" niches, but there are also so many niches filled with obsessed buyers where people are so passionate about their hobby or dream that they will spend money to find ways to have the dream faster, or get to the next level quicker to enjoy the obsession more.

Some say you should go into a niche that you are already passionate about. If enough people share your passion, then you're niche will be a profitable one. Make a list of some niches you think you would enjoy working in that you're passionate about.

If your passion is golf, you'll find that niche to be very competitive. But due to the size of the niche, there is enough room for everyone.

Remember: competition is your best friend. You should be able to make the golf niche profitable for yourself as well since many people who enjoy golf are notorious for spending money on their passion.

Make a list of some profitable niche ideas you think you would enjoy working in that you're passionate about. If you want to make money online, and plan on doing it for a while, then it's a good idea to do something in a market and niche you enjoy.

You'll be much happier waking up each day to a business you enjoy versus something you're just in for the money. You can find quality affiliate products to promote in any niche you could possibly imagine and at many different price points, so I would choose a niche that you can both make money in AND enjoy.

Now that you have found a good buyers niche, now ask yourself how profitable is the niche?

Is there potential for back end products? (If not, you may want to reconsider)

Trends and fads can be profitable, VERY profitable; but you should consider an evergreen topic if you want to build your business for long term success.

People are always going to be looking for information to ease their pain or to fuel and satisfy their pleasure. This is exactly the kind of information people want, and the kind of information they’re willing to pay for.

Because of this you will most likely want to consider developing several different campaigns in a variety of niches. But start with ONE, and then branch out from there.

You will want to find at least a few other potential products in your new niche that complement your first product, so you can add them to the back end of your sales funnel or offer to your growing customer base; assuming that you're building a buyers email list, which by the way, you should be doing. The key to your success is going to be in your research. Where it is time consuming, and may seem like it's more work than it's worth - it is required. Just don't over complicate it. You don't have to get it perfect the first time, and you won't need to go out and buy the ultimate niche marketing course.

Making sure you have good products in the main offer and in the sales funnel that follows is good business... Look at it this way: you're going to want to be selling products in several niches over the long term. Selling additional products will make all of your marketing efforts more profitable.

So doing your homework is not only the investment of time, it's an investment in your future.
It's really important to make sure that you investigate all options available and get some good ideas BEFORE you invest time and money in a niche that won't give you the return on your investment you're looking for.

As you grow out the business, you will want to build an email list to promote additional products to in the future. By having a list of email subscribers you will be able to easily develop multiple streams of income to make more sales that will continue to generate a stable income for your business.

Everything starts with finding a profitable niche first - before looking for the next big niche. After all, the first niche you choose could end up being your next big niche.
